Buying a Laptop

Recently I’ve tried to purchase a laptop for a friend from Sony Style. All was good initially. I was able to pay for it, got an order confirmation and a delivery estimate. I waited for the assigned time to receive the laptop. After the time has elapsed (and I still didn’t get the laptop) I went online to track the product and to my amazement I noticed that it was delivered to another address with an invalid signature. I notified Sony of the problem and they issued another order with express delivery for a second laptop.

This time I got the laptop and all was good. After a few days I also got the laptop from the initial order. Per the agreement with Sony I had to return it… I’ve contacted Sony to let them know that I receive the initial order and they gave me a prepaid delivery number. Then I shipped the box back to them. Meanwhile, I also sent the laptop to my friend (he got it… no problems there and sent me the money for the laptop). A few days later, I noticed that my credit card had negative credit on it (someone returned some money to me and it wasn’t my friend). I checked the transaction log and I noticed that Sony had returned the price for the order… At this point, the situation seemed a little funny to me. I asked my friend what he wants to do and he said that I should ask Sony if there wasn’t any mistake with the order… I did that, and naturally there was another error on their part and they fixed it by withdrawing the amount again (all good since they returned it initially).

Overall I think that this purchase was doomed from the very beginning and everything that was associated to it lead to a series of errors… I don’t particularly blame Sony Style for it… We are all humans and mistakes are part of our daily lives. Since we were able to solve all the problems, the issue only has the funny side attached to it.
