The Imagine Cup 2009 competition ended bringing 2 trophies to Romania. This year, we got the first prize in IT Challenge and in the Software Design competitions. It is the first time when Romania manages to get the first prize in Software Design and it represents the result of the hard work and ingenuity of the competitors as well as the people supporting them. Finally, after 4 and a half years I got to take the last exams at the University. These were fun times, but I look forward to event better times 
. Now all that I have to do is to work on my diploma project and… have some fun. Ideally, now I should have more time to blog, and I am cooking a few posts for quite a while, but I delayed them due to lack of time (exams, projects, work, projects, work, work, fun, etc).

During 25-26 of September I was one of the Microsoft Student Partners invited to take part in the version 1 of the MSP Summit. This event brought together for a few days MSP’s from all over the world in order to learn more about the upcoming Microsoft products and technologies, in order to help improve the Microsoft Student Partner program and to create an opportunity for the MSP’s to interact with (more…)
Summer has finally come and with it my internship at Microsoft has began. I cannot think of a better way of spending my time than in such an internship. It provides a perfect combination between developing cool software using the latest technologies and having fun by participating in the multitude of events organized especially for the interns. A few days ago I received a post from arvind (on May 2nd, 2008 at 6:31 pm) providing some instructions for creating a C++ program that would convert English into "Euro-English". The Academic Resource Kit (ARK) targets the future Romanian IT professionals. Through it, Microsoft provides an easier way for individuals to get in touch with technology and provides them a set of free tools and educational resources that could help them develop their IT skills.
